We are proud to announce that this year marks the 45th birthday of Universal Fabrications. As we reflect on our history, we’re thrilled to unveil our new logo which captures this special moment. From the past to the present, a huge thank you to all of our customers, suppliers and colleagues who have worked with us to achieve this milestone.
As we continue to look forward, it’s important for us to remember how we started and the below image takes us back to 1979, capturing the early days at our current premises in Nuneaton. From humble beginnings with just three passionate individuals, we now employ 84 people manufacturing machined parts and metal fabrications for multiple industry sectors.
Universal’s success can be attributed to the unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction in every project we undertake.

Over the past 2.5 years, we have invested over £2 million to further elevate our standards. The next chapter will see further expansion of our facilities through the development of a 5000 square foot building. This coupled with further machinery and team investments, will keep us continually ahead of the curve when it comes to delivering scalable, cost effective solutions to our customers.

As challenging as this year might be, we have just recently engaged into a great expansion of our business by purchasing the building next door. This includes not only extra office space and a new boardroom for meetings, but also several new parking spaces and a large Laser & Assembly area, essential for our new and exciting projects.
This year we are expanding our capacity within the Universal Fabrications site by erecting a new building to the rear of our current workshop. This will include new facilities like extra office space, and provide the much-needed capacity for our new and exciting projects starting later on in the year.
Early December we took receipt of our brand-new Vertical Machining Centre increasing our machine shop capacity by having a bed size of 2184mm x 813mm x 762mm, the 4th Axis rotary table will also increase capacity even further.
With live projects ready and waiting the Haas VF-7/40 has already made a huge impact and will only continue to support us in turning around projects quickly and with reliable quality.
October this year Charlotte, Carl and Steven headed up to Manchester’s Event City for the Northern Manufacturing show. Standing amongst the leading names in technology and engineering, showcasing our recent projects.
We caught up with industry peers and clients alike, whilst making new acquaintances, and returning with a strong set of contacts in which we have started great working relationships with, so all-round the show was a great success.
